Where are you originally from (born and raised)?

I am a first generation American, born and raised in the USA. My mother is from Ecuador and my father from Italy.

Tell us a little bit about your background… what did you do before joining GPC?

As a child, my dream was to be a pediatrician. During college I volunteered for several pediatric research projects at Bellevue Hospital while working as a medical assistant and billing administrator for a private dermatology office. Upon graduating, I was offered a full-time position as a research project manager focusing on several studies, but mainly, an NIH childhood-obesity prevention study across four hospitals. After working nearly four years in research, I fell in love with educating women on how to best feed themselves and their children, while training other health professionals to do the same. During the following years, I pursued two masters: nutrition and management. I tested a few different jobs with vastly different environments (a fitness center, bariatric clinic, and corporate vitamins and supplements company) before finding a place that I could be proud to call my work-home – Grameen VidaSana.

What is your favorite part of your job?

Nutrition, health, and wellness have always been passions of mine. My favorite part of the job is being able to do challenging work that helps less fortunate populations while doing it with like-hearted, kind colleagues.

If you could visit anywhere in the world you’ve never been, where would you go?

If I could visit anywhere in the world that I’ve never been, it would be South Africa. I would love to strap on my hiking boots and go on a safari.

What’s your secret talent that no one knows about?

I can imitate a lot of different voices and tell high-quality corny jokes in an instant.

Define yourself in three words.

Dedicated, Compassionate, Fun-loving
